Assignment 2: part 2

Rage against the Machine or RATM is, if I had to pick one, my asbolute favourite band. The band members are Zack de la Rocha, on vocals, Tom Morello, a brilliant guitarrist, bassist Timmy C and drummer Brad Wilk.

What I like most about the band is their unique sound, mixing rap and rock fueled by anger at the american society. Tom Morello is probably the most controversial guitarrist, using an insane amount of whammy, pedals, and also really obscure items like pencils or a loaf of bread to make his guitar sound like anything but a guitar. Very good examples of this is Guerilla Radio where Rolling Stones reviewers were convinced RATM was using a harmonica in the songs' solo, but in fact it was a very skillful mix of using a miniswitch as a killswitch and hammerons.
I like listening to them enarly all the time, it doesn't really require a special "mood" to listen to then. You can be hyped, listen to them and get even more hyped, you can be tired and you'll definatly wake up.

All in all, a terrific band and if you were to listen to any of their songs I'd recommend either "Know your Enemy" or "Microphone Fiend".
